Social JusticeThe mission of the Social Justice Council is to educate and motivate church members to take action for justice. The Council coordinates the social action work of the congregation and coordinates several task forces and projects. The Council plays a leadership role when the church considers undertaking new church-wide projects.

Foothills Common Read The Congregation is encouraged to read Margaret Regan's The Death of Josseline : Immigration Stories from the Arizona-Mexico Borderlands (Beacon Press, 2010). To begin our local conversation discussion groups on the book will be offered in the Fall of 2011.

Immigration as a Moral Issue - Delegates at the 2010 UUA General Assembly in Minneapolis, MN, selected "Immigration as a Moral Issue" to be the 2010-2014 Congregational Study/Action Issue (CSAI) of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations.

Interfaith Hospitality Network - approved at the May 22, 2011 Congregational Meeting. Foothills is one of 10 faith communities in Fort Collins that offer homeless families temporary housing. Four to five times a year church volunteers open our Religious Education Building to provide overnight housing, and serve dinner & breakfast to a maximum of four families.
